Through The Forest/Outside is the second part of the larger series, Second Self . We journey into the darkness of the Shadow without a clear path. We are frightened by what we can not see or understand. We are moved by the unexpected beauty. The trees, the forest, the journey, all speak to us of what we do and do not want to know.

The last part of the journey is the transition to the the outside. It is here where we can reflect and absorb what we encountered in the darkness. Although all may not be clear we are back outside, a place where we can reflect and absorb what we have encountered. 

This first part of this series is double printed with the initial layer being archival photographic paper and the top layer being a thinner Kozo paper than used in  Crossing The Threshold. This is to indicate the thinning of the veils between levels of our reality.

The last part, Outside, is printed in color on a thin Kozo paper without the second layer of a printed image.
